El Serrallo Association of Restaurants and Commerce is a business organisation in the Tarragona fishing district.

El Serrallo is the city’s maritime district and its essence is strictly bound to fishing –since its creation– and its port that has welcomed many civilisations throughout history. Precisely for this historic feeling and belonging to a community, today over ninety per cent of the companies in the district are associates of the ARCS.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the ARCS is one of El Serrallo’s main driving forces and as such it organises a multitude of activities throughout the year, many of them related to the original and authentic district cuisine. The blue fish and romesco are their insignias and the reason why so many flock here at the weekend and on holidays to taste their cuisine.

ARCS is made up of, apart from the commercial establishments, of over twenty restaurants, a couple of ice-cream parlours and a cocktail lounge, which offer citizens and tourists a wide variety of gastronomic places to visit.

ARCS also organises, throughout the year, fairs, exhibitions, gastronomy sessions, concerts, festivals and, when summer arrives, the Mediterranean Summer Festival, right next to the fishing boats.
