Tosca: Puccini's opera show with Àngel Òdena
The great night of the opera in Tarragona
The performance of the opera Tosca is a step forward in the consolidation of the project started at the Camp de Mart, in June 2021, with the performance of Rigoletto. This new operatic project by Àngel Òdena wants to bring opera closer to new audiences by presenting more daring scenic approaches, without underestimating the fidelity to the music and the original scripts, which wants to put Tarragona on the map of cultural production in Catalonia.
The new artistic approach that will take place in the Tarraco Arena on July 28, 2023, will make this unique stage space an ideal space for the representation of this Tosca, with 120 minutes, for the great opera show that has never been seen in Tarragona.
Tosca is a territorial project, which is why the Tarragona Opera Chorus has been expressly constituted for the representation. It will be directed by Montse Ríos and the Tarragona Opera Orchestra, under the guidance of Camerata XXI (a musical group made up of professional musicians from all over Tarragona) that will be directed by the internationally renowned grand maestro, Oliver Díaz.
At the top of the stage, we will have the voices of Vanessa Goikoetxea as Floria Tosca, Alejandro Roy as Mario Cavaradossi, Ángel Odena as barone Scarpia, in the main roles, and also Stefano Palatchi as Cesare Angelotti, Albert Casals as Spoletta, Enric Martínez Castignani as the sacristan, Quim Cornet as Sciarrone, Emili Gispert as the jailer and Xavier Casademont as the shepherd.
